Brisbane Valley Rail Trail

My adventure buddy Nicole and I, started the day by driving from Brisbane to Toogoolawah where we left the car for the return trip the next afternoon. There we were met by, Out There Cycling, the local shuttle service that will take you to your starting point, bikes and all.

Starting our ride at Yarraman, we initially underestimated the magnificence of this natural beauty with breath-taking scenery by our side, but the winding 70 km trail left us awestruck. We had both soon realised that the track was uphill both ways and defied the laws of physics, so we soldiered on, and set our compass to the Linville pub which was to be our sanctuary that evening. Only stopping at the famous Blackbutt pie shop for lunch.

Enjoying the natural landscape, kangaroos, bird-watchers, and locals touring on their bikes, we finally rested our exhausted bodies at Lindville Pub, located 40 km into our trail. The vintage pub was constructed in 1919 and is the perfect mix of old & new. The place has something for everybody, including foodies and beer connoisseurs.

The pub's rooms are spacious, clean, and offer guests a comfortable stay, perfect for the weary riders. Our favorite part about staying at the Lindville pub was the hearty meals they served, which nobody can say no to after such a long day of biking. The pub had a beautiful grassed beer garden with live music, to keep us entertained until it was time for a well earned rest.

Waking up the next day to a refreshing breeze, we were prepared for the remaining 35 km of our biking journey. The last portion of the trail is known to be the most scenic views of the Brisbane Valley, with amazing scenery and wildlife along the way.

n conclusion, the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail from Yarraman to Toogoolawah is a must-visit for all those who want to experience the beauty of nature and indulge in adventure. While there are several stops worth making, the Lindville Pub stands out for its warm hospitality, outstanding food, and beer that is sure to be an experience in itself.
